Clapton Girls Academy had previously engaged with us to assist with space optimisation within the facilities. During our initial project, we relocated their metal lockers outdoors to free up valuable indoor space. Understanding the challenges of using metal lockers outdoors, we advised the installation of a protective canopy and switched the locks to wet area variants to extend the lockers’ usability. While this was a temporary solution, we cautioned that metal lockers, even under a canopy, would eventually succumb to rust and wear.
After a few years of effective, albeit temporary use, the Academy decided to replace the metal lockers as they approached the end of their lifecycle. They opted for plastic lockers, which are inherently resistant to rust and better suited for outdoor environments. This decision aligns with our earlier recommendations for long-term durability and reduced maintenance.
The installation of the plastic lockers has successfully addressed the long-term storage needs of Clapton Girls Academy, providing a durable, weather-resistant solution that integrates seamlessly with the existing canopy structure. The project underscores our commitment to delivering practical and sustainable solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
Clapton Girls Academy can now enjoy the benefits of increased indoor space, alongside the peace of mind that their outdoor storage is both secure and designed to withstand the challenges of the environment.
