Clapton Girls Academy first engaged with us to help optimise their facilities by creating more indoor space. During that project, we relocated their existing metal lockers outdoors, freeing up valuable room inside the school. To support this change, we advised the installation of a protective canopy and replaced the locks with wet area variants to extend the lockers’ usability in outdoor conditions.
Although the canopy and upgraded locks provided a temporary solution, we highlighted that metal lockers placed outdoors would eventually face issues such as rust and wear. While the lockers continued to serve their purpose for several years, the Academy was aware that they would eventually need a more sustainable alternative.
As the metal lockers approached the end of their lifecycle, Clapton Girls Academy decided to replace them with a longer-lasting solution. After reviewing their options, they opted for plastic lockers, which are inherently rust-resistant and far better suited to outdoor environments. This choice aligned perfectly with our earlier recommendation for long-term durability and reduced maintenance.
The installation of the new plastic lockers has provided the Academy with a permanent solution that integrates seamlessly with the existing canopy structure. The lockers are weather-resistant, secure, and designed to withstand the demands of outdoor use for years to come.
With this upgrade, Clapton Girls Academy now enjoys the dual benefit of increased indoor space and reliable outdoor storage. The project demonstrates our commitment to delivering practical, sustainable, and client-focused solutions that meet both immediate and long-term requirements.
