The Goring Hotel, an iconic luxury hotel in London, has been a valued customer since 2013. Initially, they required lockers for 30 staff members, including chefs, to store uniforms and personal belongings. Recently, they returned to us to modernise their locker facilities, increase capacity, and optimise their available space.
With an expanded workforce of 55 staff, the hotel needed to increase locker provision from 30 to 55 units without overcrowding the existing space. By rethinking the layout, we were able to provide a solution that met their storage needs while keeping the locker room uncluttered and functional.
The existing lockers used traditional keyed locks, which had become inconvenient and outdated. To improve security and ease of use, we supplied Lowe & Fletcher 2800 mechanical combination locks, giving staff a modern, keyless solution that was both reliable and practical.
We provided the hotel with our premium Ultimate Fully Welded 2 Door Lockers, enhanced with customised internal fittings. These included hanging rails for chefs’ uniforms and ¾ depth shoe shelves to keep footwear organised. To optimise underutilised areas, we also designed bespoke low-height lockers that fit seamlessly under windows, maximising space without compromising aesthetics.
The final installation successfully expanded locker capacity to 55 staff members, modernised the facility, and improved overall usability. The under-window design created a clean and spacious look, while the upgraded locks and fittings enhanced both security and convenience.
By investing in tailored locker solutions, The Goring Hotel continues to set high standards for staff facilities, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality and employee satisfaction.
